Seasons are Roco Kingdom's content clock. Each one brings new wild Jinies, a new batch of season-limited Shiny forms, a fresh Season Pass and a season shop. The permanent game — story, Home, Codex and your roster — sits underneath and does not rotate with it.

Dates on this page are CN build dates. The global release date is not announced, and the global season numbering may restart (see the release date guide).

How seasons are structured

Season 1 (S1) opened with the CN launch on 2026-03-26. Dated community posts put Season 2 in late May 2026 and Season 3 in mid-July 2026. That is roughly two months per season, but no official season length has been published for either build, so treat the cadence as an observation rather than a schedule.

Each season layers three things on the base game: new Jinies and region mechanics, a season-exclusive set of Shiny forms, and a paid track plus a season shop. The base game keeps running in parallel, which is why a new player can ignore the season layer for weeks without falling behind.

Inside a season, the pacing comes from weekly unlocks rather than one launch dump. Season tasks gate the encounter fruit for that season's Jinies, and in S1 the fruit arrived around week six, which is why early guides tell you to hunt permanent species first and wait on the seasonal ones (CN build, Season 1; single source). Weekly activities such as Starlight Showdown and the weekend mass-spawn task run across the whole season and reset on their own clock.

What ends, what stays

Only the first row is stated outright. The rest is inference from how the guides are written: the same collectors post S1, S2 and S3 hunts from the same account and the same storage, and none of them mention losing Jinies at the boundary. That is good evidence, not a guarantee.

Season currency is the open question. No source says whether season coins, Prism Shards or pass levels carry over, convert or vanish. Spend season currency before the last week rather than gambling on a conversion, and do not hoard it for a season that may not accept it.

New Jinies and the Codex count

The Codex held 450+ Jinies at the CN launch and 600+ by Season 3 (CN build, Season 3). The global count will be set by its own build, so use those figures as scale rather than as a checklist.

Each season adds wild Jinies and a new set of season-limited variants. S1 had 19 Shiny forms, including two from the Season Pass and one crossover addition (CN build, Season 1; single source). Not every Jini has a Shiny, and an older species can gain one in a later season.

Season 3 also changed how you find them: regions boost the appearance rate of that season's encounter Jinies, element pools without a Shiny become random pools, and new sanctuaries can modify body size, traits or bloodline odds (CN build, Season 3). Those changes matter more to a collector than the raw Codex number.

Season Pass value

The Season Pass has a free track and two paid tiers. In S1 the basic tier cost 68 and the premium tier 128, with duo prices of 54 and 104 (CN build, Season 1; single source). Prices change by region, so check the global store before budgeting.

The basic tier included one of two Jini fruits, three season Radiant Balls, two outfits, 12 weekly-boss stamina tickets and 240 Wish Stars (CN build, Season 1; single source). The premium tier added one more Radiant Ball, a Shiny egg, an avatar and 10 pass levels. The pass also feeds Prism Shards at 400 on the free track and 1,600 paid, plus 360 and 1,440 Magic Dust (fan estimate, current season).

The decisive detail for free players is that a friend who bought the pass can share the pass Jini's fruit, so you can obtain the Jini without paying (CN build, Season 1; single source). The pass is a cosmetics-and-convenience purchase, not a gate on the roster.

Buy it early if you want the Shiny egg and the outfits, because pass levels accrue from play. Buying in the final week turns money into a fraction of the rewards.

Season shop and limited rewards

The season shop is the second limited track. In S1 it sold guaranteed-build eggs for 50 season coins each, including a fire PvE carry and a PvP core (CN build, Season 1; single source). Stock rotates, so check it at the start of the season and again before it closes.

Treat the shop as a spend-it-or-lose-it sink. The sources do not describe leftover coins carrying into the next season, and these eggs are one of the cheapest ways to add a usable Jini to a new account. Do not hoard coins for a season that may not accept them.

Old rewards: there is no documented rerun. Season-exclusive Shiny forms explicitly stop being obtainable, and pass cosmetics have no stated return path. Plan as if the season's rewards are one-time, and treat any rerun as a bonus. The only documented workaround for a departing form is breeding a compatible species.

Should a new player rush seasonal content?

No. The season layer is optional, and most of it assumes a working account. Spend your first days on the main story, the Magic Handbook, one PvE team and the Home/breeding unlock (see the beginner guide). Seasonal hunting becomes efficient only after you can farm balls and reach the season's regions.

If you start mid-season, skip the pass and the shop unless something in them fixes a problem you already have. Build the permanent account, then join the next season at its start. The one exception is a season-limited Shiny you genuinely want: those forms leave when the season does, and breeding only covers compatible egg groups. The Shiny guide covers the chain and the pity counter.

For the global release, no season calendar has been announced. The CBT begins on 2026-10-27, but the season numbering and dates for the global build are still open. Use the CN seasons to learn the shape of the system, not to plan a date.
